The Rivians

The Rivians are made up of a diverse group of farmers and different tradesmen. Many also work as Rangers always on the move protecting the roads from bandits and hunting providing furs to the local townsfolk. The Rivians are no strangers to battle and will rise to any challenge.

Becoming part of the culture:

The Rivians are inspired by European foot soldiers, Robin Hood highwaymen, fantasy woodsmen, and hunters of the Witcher universe.

Rivian Ranks

The Rivians are a classless society and that shows in the way their military is organized. All leaders are elected by the people they will be leading.

1.    Scouts (Sword and light armor)

1.1. Fox (Swords, Axes, Spears, Shields, and Light Armor)

1.2. Rabbit (Short Sword, Bow, Medium Armor)

1.3. Bears (Great Sword, Dane Ax, Maces, Spears, Shields, Tower shields, Heavy Armor)

1.4. Falcon (Players with mismatched gear)

2.    Scout Leaders – Must be proficient with bows (Swords, bows, and light armor)

3.    Group Leaders – Are handpicked by the Faction Leader. They control a group and help plan training sessions. (Spear and Shield)

4.    Faction Leader (must be an NPC, must be royalty)

Note: Scouts, Foxes, Rabbits, Bears, and Falcons have similar ranks and serve under a Scout Leader. The main difference is where they got their equipment and how they joined the Rivian fighters. If they volunteered, they were typically given better equipment; however, if they were conscripted, they may only receive light armor and a sword. Additionally, they can provide their own equipment, in which case they are sorted based on what equipment they have.
